Inspired by the abstract patterns in quantum physics, I have interpreted the beauty of quantum mechanisms in an artistic way to create this generative artwork.

One of the fundamental mechanisms of quantum physics is the ability of microscopic particles to ‘exist’ in multiple states (positions) at the same time. This property, also known as quantum superposition, allows microscopic particles to interact and move in complex and unpredictable ways.

In this work, the particles are first randomly initialized and continuously affected by the forces controlled by the multiple periodic equations. The inputs to the periodic equations are linked to the current position of each particle and to the states of its surrounding particles and are used to simulate the complex, and in fact difficult to directly simulate quantum particle movement. At each running, the quantum field will be re-initialized, and the particles in the field are guided through complex movement to generate intricate and fascinating patterns.

Chaos, complexity, emergence, and unpredictability build the unique beauty of this work. Moreover, as a work of generative art, each collector will acquire a distinct collection in a unique running of the calculation.
